Fabric Path Diagram

Experiment Name: -Study on fabric path diagram of rapier loom.

Introduction:

Fabric is produces by proper interlacement of warp and weft yarn. Weft yarn is passes through the divided warp shed according to design. To produces fabric it must require to set the yarn into loom properly, that means the preparation of warp and weft yarn. Warp yarn prepare through various process and the weft yarn is prepare by winding it’s on to a suitable packages.

Objectives:

*    To know the fabric path diagram of a loom.
*    To learn how the yarn should be set to produce fabric.
*    To know the different parts involved with its.
*    To learn the input and output of a loom.

Fabric path diagram:

At first wound the yarn on to weavers beam then it passes over the back rest to drop wire, then the yarn passes through heald eye of the heald shaft, then the yarn passes through the dents of the reed to the take up roller and finally cloth roller.

Fig: Fabric path diagram.
A = Weavers beam
C = Back rest
D = Drop wire
E = Heald eye
G = Dents of the reed
L = Take up roller
N = Cloth roller

 Conclusion:

From this experiment we learn the fabric path diagram. We identify the different parts through which yarn will pass to weave a cloth. It is also important for fabric design. By this experiment we also learn the input and output of a loom. This would be very helpful in my future life.
